Lunch Pass Alert - Changes in procedures

Attention Wilson Parents and Guardians:
Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 are able to obtain off campus lunch passes.  A parent/guardian signature is REQUIRED in order to process the pass. In the past a very small number of students forged parent/guardian signatures.   If you DO NOT want your student leaving campus at lunch, please notify the Activities Office.  We will keep a list of students who are not authorized to obtain a lunch pass.  If we find that an application is turned in for a student on the list, we will contact you.
This is a change in the way we have issued lunch passes in previous years.  In an effort to alleviate the hardship of parents/guardians leaving their workplace to sign for passes, we are no longer requiring parents/guardians to come to school in order for a student to obtain a pass.  Thank you to those parents/guardians who have already visited campus to obtain a 2014-2015 lunch pass.
Students may come to the Activities Office to obtain the lunch pass form. A new lunch pass ID will be issued and the cost of the new ID is $5.
Students will be allowed off campus starting Monday, September 22nd.
As always, student safety comes first.  If, for any reason you feel you want to ensure that a pass is not issued, call 433-0481, extension 6912 or email

Truancy Letters

Truancy letters are sent out from the Long Beach Unified School District on a monthly basis.  Truancy letters are triggered by as few as three unverified period absences.  Students and parents should check SchoolLoop frequently.  Absences marked by mistake should be reported to the teacher right away so errors can be corrected.   All absences should be cleared within 5 days.  Parents, if you receive a truancy letter, print out your student's attendance in SchoolLoop, sign and date for the excused absences, include the reason for the absence and have your student take the signed print out to the Attendance Office for clearance of those absences.
