The English Department Mission, Vision, and Values
The mission of the Woodrow Wilson High School English department is to help students develop their reading, writing, listening, speaking, research and technology skills in order to be successful lifelong learners.
Every student will become a competent communicator using language arts skills successfully in his or her academic and professional careers.
Teachers will promote the values of integrity, responsibility, diversity, school spirit and traditions, appreciation for literature, student success, written expression, verbal communication with small and large groups, as well as being technologically literate.
If you are enrolled in an accelerated, honors or AP English class next year, please review the directions for your summer reading assignments.
Go to the Wilson Home Page, click on Academics, then choose English. You will see a Summer Reading folder with all the information you will need.
