  • ELD students are using the ELD companion to the Pearson "My Perspectives"

Social Science News as of 2/6

  • Wilson is 1 of 2 high schools in the 47th Congressional District to be allocated 10 teams in the nationwide "Capitol Hill Challenge."  Students are given a $100,000 stock market portfolio and challenged with the task of showing the most growth in their portfolio.  Winners are awarded a trip to Washington D.C. in June 2017.

  • The English Department is ordering new novels as part of the new textbook adoption. Students at all grade levels should have new books next year in some capacity

  • Sewer Science is presenting to the AP and Environmental Science classes on careers

  • Marine Biology is presenting projects based on local water sheds and marine life located there

  • The Science Department has 3 student teachers this semester

Performing Arts News as of 2/6

  • The Scholarship Concert is March 13th at 6:30 pm
  • Jazz Ensemble at Spaghettinis on March 15th at 7pm
  • Play-a-thon is on February 24th
