Wilson High School Band & Orchestra Program

The mission of our Band and Orchestra program is to achieve the highest standards of music education and music performance; promote the place and value of music in our community and the significant role music plays in the cultural, intellectual, and social lives of young adults; foster fellowship and goodwill among its members; and provide its membership with opportunities for personal growth and leadership.

The Band and Orchestra programs are an essential part of Wilson High School for the performers, the school, and the community. There is an innate value in shared experiences and the growth and knowledge that comes from artistic group skill development. Our performing groups do not detract from the rigorous academic schedule of its participants, but instead enhance, improve, and augment the lives of the student musicians and the community they serve. These ensembles play a vital role in providing a wide variety of musical opportunities for all students, regardless of background, ability, or other commitments.
