Grad Nite

volunteer at grad nite

Grad Nite 2021 is june 17

But, with all the uncertainty around Covid-19, Grad Nite may look different.  We are in the planning stages of Grad Nite right now and would love your feedback and great ideas.  Parents, please join us for our chat room taking place, October 1, 6:30-7:30pm.  Please RSVP by emailing

What is Grad Nite all about?

Wilson High School is one of the few schools in the area who hosts their own graduation celebration!

We don’t ship them off to Knott’s or Disneyland; we completely transform the two gyms and surrounding areas into an amazing, tricked-out party location! Our seniors arrive at 10pm Graduation Day and depart at 5:00am the next morning. They enjoy food and beverages, an awesome DJ, dance floor, card dealers, video games, a chill lounge area, specialty booths, games & prizes and much, much more.

The event is paid by donations and ticket sales (scholarships are provided as needed) but most of the labor is done by parent volunteers. That's why we need you!! We want to make this special event better every year. Senior parents, friends, relatives etc. are all welcome. Don't stay away because your senior doesn't want you at the event, there are many opportunities to help before or after the event.

Freshmen, Sophomore & Junior Parents are encouraged to volunteer now for three reasons:

  1. Your help as a committee chair person can mean VIP seating at your child's graduation celebration

  2. It's an easy way to get involved and meet other great Wilson Parents.

  3. You can experience the evenings events & will know where to chair the following year

How to Get VIP SEating

Grad Nite is the only volunteer group that offers VIP seating for those who are committee chairpersons. If you are interested in taking on a chair position, please volunteer to shadow the year prior.  We are looking for parents of Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors to fill these chair positions, and your time will be banked so that you can retrieve your VIP wristbands the year your student graduates.  Have more than one student? You'll need to chair more than once.  Join us for an informative meeting in September (Date and Time TBD).
