Steps to Complete a Work Permit

Download & print work permit application below or pick up at Career Center

2. Student, Employer & Parent sections must be completed and signed

3.  Return completed application to the CCRC or email it to JGivens@lbschools.net 

 *Bring a COPY OR PHOTO OF YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD*

4. Once permit has been processed, please pick up from Mrs. Givens at Media Center (Bring photo/copy/ or physical Social Security card)

Dual Enrollment opportunities

Cerritos College - In Spring 2023, CHIN 101 is offered ONLINE.  Students engage in online course materials and do online assignments and projects in their own time, while practicing Chinese according to their interests and learning preferences.  CHIN 101 is a UC/CSU transfer 5-credit course, and it is one of the main courses that prepare students to obtain Chinese AA degree awarded by Cerritos College. K-12 students are welcome to join the course and explore Chinese for fun!

Summer Programs

USC's K-12 STEM Center provides STEM programs to schools across the greater Los Angeles area. The Center also offers summer programs open to all students.

- SHINE (https://viterbik12.usc.edu/shine/) is a seven week, in-person program where high school students conduct research in labs in the Viterbi School of Engineering.

- CS@SC (https://summercamp.usc.edu/) offers 1 week coding camps in-person and virtually for kindergarten - 12th grade students with topics ranging from scratch to python to cybersecurity. The coding camps are part of a larger computer science at USC initiative.
