2021 Summer School
We are pleased to announce that Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) will be offering Summer School for credit recovery and enrichment courses to our Wilson students this year.
High School summer school is open to any Long Beach Unified School District student who needs to make up credit(s) required for graduation or fulfill A-G college entrance requirements. Credit recovery courses will be offered through a traditional setting in-person or independent study (APEX). We will also offer a variety of amazing and fun enrichment courses such as Mental Health & the Arts, Google Suite workshops, College Prep/College Admission, and much more (see below for details).
As COVID 19 restrictions have been increasingly adjusted to allow for more in-person learning, our intention is to provide summer school in person. If there is a specific need to participate in an online-only program during the summer, we will only be able to provide a very limited set of course offerings through the Apex online curriculum. Our goal is to provide both credit recovery and original credit opportunities during this summer session to meet the needs of our students.
Attendance:
Credit Recovery and Original Credit:
- A minimum of 85% attendance is required for credit. Summer School will be in session beginning Monday, June 28, 2021, through Friday, July 30, 2021 (The 4th of July holiday will be observed on Monday, July 5th).
