Summer School

Summer School 2019

NOTE: To increase student success, the District Office is in the process of revamping summer school parameters.  Please check back in March 2019 for the most current and recent information. 

Wilson High School summer school is open to any Long Beach Unified School District student who needs to:

  • Make up credit(s) required for graduation
  • Fulfill A-G college entrance requirements or
  • Take a math preparation course.

Post eighth graders through post-twelfth graders should see their counselors regarding eligibility for specific core academic or district-funded courses. Summer school enrollment is limited to those who attend a Long Beach Unified School District high school. A minimum of 85% attendance is required for credit. Students will not receive a passing grade if they are absent more than 10 hours (4 days) from a full session course. All students must be enrolled for class credit.

 

Woodrow Wilson High School Summer School:

 

Summer school schedule will be available through StudentVue and ParentVue starting June 2019.  Please check your StudentVue and/or ParentVue account to see the classes that you have been assigned.  Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your classes, please email your counselor immediately (June 20th - 21nd) prior to starting summer school.  All incoming 9th graders, please contact Mr. Saldivar (Head Counselor), at rsaldivar@lbschools.net if you have been placed in the wrong class.

 

Summer School Schedules WILL NOT be printed.  You must view your final class schedule online via StudentVUE or ParentVUE on Friday, June 22, 2018 after 4:00 p.m.  As a reminder, your StudentVUE login is your Student ID# and your password is your date of birth.  The majority of the classes will be held on the C-Side Campus, and the Summer School Office will be located in room C-01.

 

Summer School Dates:

Monday, June 24, 2019 to Friday, July 26, 2019 (5 weeks)

 

Summer School Bell Schedule:

  • Period 1:  7:50 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
  • Period 2:  10:35 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  

 

Dress code Requirement: Uniforms are required for Wilson High School Summer School

 

Free or Reduced Lunches: Lunches will be available to qualified students.

Wilson’s Summer School Course Offerings are as follows:

Credit Recovery:

* Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2

* English: English 1-2, English 3-4, English 5-6

* History/Social Science: Modern World History, United States History

* Science: Biology, Chemistry 1-2

*World Language: Spanish 1-2

 

Bridge Math Courses:

Pre-Algebra 1, Pre-Geometry, Pre-Algebra 2
