If you are using a Chromebook, make sure to check that it has updated.

Some Chromebook browsers may need to be updated due to not being used over the summer. You can follow the steps below or use this visual tutorial to walk you through the process.

    Check for Updates

    1. Turn on your Chromebook. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi.
    2. At the bottom right, select the time.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
    5. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
    6. Select Check for updates.
    7. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.
    8. You may need to restart your device.

Online Student Behavior Expectations and Digital Citizenship

The Long Beach Unified School District is committed to supporting students’ safety and wellbeing in all educational settings (virtual and in-person).  During the period of distance learning, all expectations for student behavior still apply.  All school behavior norms and rules must be followed just as expected in the regular educational setting/classroom.  It is important that students know, understand, practice, and model positive and productive behaviors when participating in class and online. For this reason, the LBUSD Office of School Support Services – Division of Student Support Services has created the Online Student Behavior Expectations and Digital Citizenship document.
